More About Rebecca Vitelli arrow-right

Raised in New York in a family of educators, Rebecca Vitelli developed a passion for helping others discover the joy of learning. After studying early childhood and special education at the University of Delaware, she spent six years teaching preschool at a Title I school serving one of Delaware’s most diverse communities.

In recognition of her broad impact, Rebecca was named the 2020 Delaware Teacher of the Year, the first preschool educator to earn the honor. She used her platform to advocate for high-quality, inclusive early childhood education and the essential roles of social-emotional learning and play.

After moving to Kansas for love, Rebecca joined Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO), where she coaches infant, toddler, and preschool professionals and facilitates professional learning statewide. She also serves as a Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor. Rebecca believes lasting change begins with adults: when educators feel supported, valued, and empowered, children thrive. She guides educators to see behavior as communication and respond with safety, connection, and problem solving. Through authentic stories, classroom examples, and hands-on learning, she celebrates educators’ strengths while inspiring them to embrace new skills with confidence and joy. She lives with her partner and their rescued French Bulldog, Dune.
