More About Sanjalina Kristi arrow-right

Sanjalina has applied Conscious Discipline to motherhood, professional settings, personal interactions, and within the indigenous educational field — working with adults, elders, parents, students, children, professionals, peers, and people in positions of authority since her Conscious Discipline training began. She helped implement Conscious Discipline at a K-12 tribal school, where she used the concepts of the Conscious Discipline Active Calming Center to create “the thinking room” for middle schoolers and adult students, in which they took 10–15-minute breaks from class to engage in gross motor, mindfulness, and fine motor skills prior to completing IEP or social skill lessons based on student needs.

She is passionate about uplifting marginalized communities, working with adolescents, and modifying Conscious Discipline strategies to better suit older children and adults — creating emotionally safe spaces, understanding how language and culture influence behavior, and ensuring anyone she interacts with feels heard and understood. She is currently pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and anthropology and plans to work as a Cultural/Linguistic Anthropologist who works with indigenous communities to create Conscious Discipline–aware centers that support community members from within.
