More About Kerri Sage

Kerri has been a teacher and administrator in the Eugene School District for over forty years. Technically retired, she still provides Conscious Discipline support for the district. Kerri has worn a variety of hats throughout her career. In the classroom, she taught PreK through grade five. After getting her administrative license, she became the District Talented and Gifted Coordinator, where she worked to support teachers, students, and parents navigating the sometimes-challenging world of being a gifted student in the public school system.

Her Conscious Discipline journey began when she was approached by a local counseling group to create a brain-based program to support foster parents and supervised visitation sessions for incarcerated parents. Not long after that, Kerri walked into a Conscious Discipline classroom in Eastern Oregon and realized she didn’t need to create anything — Dr. Becky Bailey already had! Filled with hope and passion, Kerri came back to Eugene, and their district-wide Conscious Discipline journey began.

Kerri’s passion is to support and empower every member of the school community. She has worked with administrators, teachers, other school personnel, students, and parents to integrate Conscious Discipline powers, skills, and structures into their schools, classrooms, and homes. Kerri has also worked to support the social-emotional needs of gifted students.
