More About Jenny Stewart arrow-right

Jenny Stewart was first introduced to Conscious Discipline® in 2018 by the elders of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians while serving as the Social-Emotional Guidance Coordinator for their Early Learning Center. Witnessing firsthand how Conscious Discipline fosters healing, connection, and resilience, she became deeply committed to integrating these practices into early childhood education, mental health initiatives, and her own personal life.

For the past seven years, Jenny has worked with Head Start and tribal communities, supporting children impacted by trauma and social-emotional challenges, as well as assisting administrators in developing frameworks to support their schools through the lens of mental health and Conscious Discipline. She has played a key role in implementing mental health frameworks, coaching educators, and guiding organizational change to promote a culture of safety and care.

Jenny also has clinical experience working with children with autism, having spent two years implementing treatment plans within an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency. This experience further deepened her understanding of individualized support and the importance of attunement, structure, and emotional regulation in child development.

She holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts from Evergreen State College, where she studied community-based social justice, trauma treatments, and effective mental health interventions for children.

Jenny’s passion is supporting educators, parents, and organizations in cultivating environments where children feel safe, connected, and empowered. She continues to provide coaching, training, and mentorship to professionals across various educational and community settings.
